Tea Party with Mr. Quacks
Elliott's playing with her new tea set and stuffed duck, Mr. Quacks. And looking adorable in the new Easter dress Grandma Barbara gave her! Ya, she's not spoiled or anything.

Easter Egg Hunt
Elliott's Grandma and Grandpa Chipman were in town for Easter, along with Braxton, Brody and Brody's friend, Carson. Elliott loved having so much attention, and Grandma Barbara even made Ellie a basket and set up an Easter egg hunt in the back yard! She had such a great time looking for eggs in the grass. We all had so much fun and already miss everyone.

Our BIG project
We moved into our new house a few weeks ago, and our first project was to put grass in the back yard. This was how our yard looked before, the classic Vegas yard, or as they call it, "desert landscape".

Clearing off the rocks . . .
The picture doesn't do it justice, there were literally TONS of rocks! We just chipped away, one wheelbarrow full at a time.

Prepping the Yard
We were very pleased to find a working sprinkling system underneath all the rocks and dirt. I kind of enjoyed leveling the dirt, it was very zen.

All Done!
It took about 3 weeks and a LOT of muscle, but it was well worth it. Elliott and our dog, Zoey, LOVE having this nice grass to play in. I can't keep them inside! The next step is to get a new BBQ (and a lawn mower!)

Drawing
Ellie is a born artist (and she's not bad for 18 months old!) Whenever she finds a pen or crayon, she comes up to me and says, "Draw?" If she can't find any paper, she'll just get creative and draw on the coffee table, closet doors, or the white throw rug in her room.

Helping Daddy set up the Christmas tree
We have to keep our tree up high this year (out of toddler reach), so Colin got creative by duct-taping a small tree to our big pot. Of course, Elliott was right there to help.

The Hamster Dance
Elliott still loves to dance! The Hamster Dance is her new favorite song, and she makes me play it over and over . . . and over. She does her best dancing in the morning, after breakfast, which explains the pajamas and bed head.

Hiking with Sadie in Millcreek Canyon
Elliott and Mommy took a trip to Salt Lake City this week, just in time to see the beautiful fall colors. Ellie had a great time and it was so nice to see everyone. She especially had fun playing in the back yard with Sadie and Grandma Irene.
Then, we drove down to St. George to see Colin, Corey, Grandma Barbra and Breanne run the St. George marathon. Colin got his best time yet. Everyone did great and we were so proud, especially since it was pouring rain during the entire race.
Elliott loved playing with her cousins, Lane and Burke and seeing her baby cousins, Grady and Teagan.
We miss everyone already!
